Pastor D. L. Harville was born in Detroit, Michigan along with six siblings.  Being raised in a Christian family afforded him an opportunity to become rooted in the Word of God throughout his childhood.  By age fourteen, the Lord placed the call of ministry on his life, but he did not yield to the call until nearly fifteen years later, whereupon he was ordained and began serving as an associate minister at his then church home.

 

Upon completion of Bethesda School of Ministry, while simultaneously serving as an associate minister, he was given the vision through the Holy Spirit of his next assignment; Pastor of New Life Ministries Worldwide.  In 2004, Pastor Harville birthed New Life Ministries Worldwide (hereinafter NLMW) in Harper Woods, Michigan.  At inception it consisted of less than 5 members.  Within two years, services were being held at both 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Harville takes no personal credit for the success of his ministry, but rather, he gives all the glory to God.

 

In order to care for all of God's people, Pastor Harville began laboring in the gospel on a full-time basis in 2007.   With the focus on carrying out his God-given mission, he attended Zion Christian Center where he met his personal pastor and friend, Pastor Leonard Gardner, who is the Bishop of NLMW.

 

With the ever-increasing blessings of God, congregational attendance exceeded the maximum capacity of its 2,800 sq. ft. building on Eastwood.  In 2009, the one small church doing great things for God's Kingdom purchased its current 13,000 sq. ft. worship facility on Lochmoor Drive in Harper Woods.

Pastor Harville teaches the Word of God with such anointed power, authority and conviction that the Word has changed the lives of many thus leading his flock into its divine purpose and destiny.  He invites everyone to literally come as you are and leave changed.   His favorite scripture is Psalm 51:10; “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”  Pastor Harville believes his ministry, which God ordained, must not be hidden, but available for all who desire to be a part of a Worship and Word experience.   

 

With over 15 years of pastoral experience, Pastor Harville has been a source of sound biblical insight and counsel to other men and women of God.  He is committed to helping new Pastors navigate the joys and challenges of leading God’s people to eternal glory.

 

In 2018, Pastor Harville married the former Ms. Eureka Allison, now lovingly known as Lady H.  Their blended family, now includes three sons, one daughter and two grandsons.  The Harville’s enjoy traveling, dining and spending quality time with family and friends.
